New Blog Soo Exciting

I am having a new blog designed at the moment and cannot wait to show it to you all.   Please be patient but love the way it is being made now so that I have a new life and a new blog layout - love it x x x

Up to my ears in packing material, movers and bags and bags to go to the dump (yes we have already been - 6 times and that is after two skips arghhh ) and we still have an unbelieveably scary amount of stuff, I think it must be that my storage furniture works so well lol

We are almost all ready to move and as you appreciate all my Stampin' Up! stash is in boxes and cases and ready to go.   I look forward to letting you all know how I am getting on in our new country but for now please bear with me and while we move our lives.

Thanks to all my UK Stampin' Up! customers, it has been a pleasure working with you and I hope you enjoy all your stamping in the future.

See you soon xxxx

Our Visas Are Through

It is official, we are moving to Canada and we are sooo excited that the wait is finally over.   Thanks to everyone who has put up with my moaning and sighing during the long long wait.

Don't worry I am still available here to take orders for the next month and then I will had you over to my very capable downline who I am sure will look after you very very well.   I will still be posting and stamping as much as I can before most of my stash goes into storage for the move and then I will be back showcasing some of my new creations from over the pond.  Keep stampin and if you have any orders I may well have a virtual party in the next week or so if I have time.

If anyone is interested in buying some of my used stamp sets (and some not used promotional goods) I will be selling them them next month in an open table top sale at my house.  If you are interested please e-mai me so I have an idea of numbers and if it is worth doing.  Thanks.

Thank You Teacher 2

This is exactly the same card but with Greenhouse Gala DSP, another one of my favourite patterns.  I could use this forever but it seems it may be retired this year so order it while you can.   I really really enjoyed making these cards and just wish I know who to thank for the idea.

On a personal note my boys attended their primary school for the last time yesterday.  It was really sad to say goodbye as it is such a great school, they have grown and learned so much while they were there and have some truly wonderful friends.  I am also very sad as some of the mums are great friends of mine too and, while I will keep in touch during the holidays, it is not the same as seeing everyone every day.

Luckily the sad day was topped of with Harry Potter in 3D and a nice meal out where everyone was in a good mood and had a great evening out (ok I may have had a couple of Margaritas ) .

Have a great weekend.

Thank You Teacher

This is a case and cannot find where it is from so snaps to the original creator. I made another version which I will post tomorrow.

I really love these simple layouts. The DSP is one of my very favourites.

Hope you like.

PS my blog is having problems so please bear with me.

New Nails

Just had to share this great new (to me) technique.  You use Konad Stamping system to stamp your nails, YES I AM STAMPING MY BODY NOW - it had to happen eventually.

I love the effect and am waiting for some other colour nail varnishes to come it to try.

Hope you like

Happy Birthday Dad

Made this for my Dad with thanks to Niki for the loan on a supply. Hope he liked it. It has a lot of features I like in it like texture from the embossing plate and the lovely label punch plus delicious Marina mist ribbon for that splash of colour.

Here is a really quick and effective card.

This uses a background stamp and the large flower punch.

It's in cards like these that you really appreciate the brilliant co-ordination of Stampin' Up! Colours.

Oops

I posted another pic of this card above but must have been lost somewhere. Will update later. Far too distracted with the new catalogue in the US. Can't wait to get my hands on some of that delicious stash. In the meantime I have some sets as yet unused so I will have to force myself to stamp some more lol.

Will past card ASAP x

Has anyone seen my brain.

I seem to lost all ability to think straight these days.

For example took this silly photo in a rush before sending the card. Oops! Not sure how you flip it.

Liked the card though so still sharing x have a great week.

One For the Boys

This card was made with a slight case from Natalie O'Shea. The cardstock is Baja Breeze and Marina Mist.  The Stamp is Sail Away 123013 and I used the lovely Watercolour Wonder crayons to get the effect on the watercolour paper.   The background card was embossed with the square lattice embossing folder 119976.  This is such a lovely stamp to play with and so useful for men's cards.  Great with Father's Day coming up.

Brighton.

Had a hot if hectic day in Brighton.

I Am So Silly

I made a gorgeous card for my little niece this weekend and totally forgot to post it.   I am sad as I now have no record of it.   I have been really naughty not posting lately but there is a lot going on at home and craft is taking a bit of a back seat which is silly as it so helps with the stress.  So I have given myself a challenge to come up with something new every two days.  That way I have time to dabble with no real time pressure.

Watch this space ....

This beautiful gift box takes only moments to make with the Big Shot pillow box die. Great for party or wedding favours. Hope you like it.

I AM SOOOO EXCITED!!!

I am still suffering with this horrible bug that is on it's second barrage of antibiotics but that has not stopped me getting my MOJO BACK!

Thank you to Natalie and Zoe for a great Stampin Extravaganza in Crawley, had a brilliant time along with Niki and we made some fantastic cards.   It really helped me get back to my groove.

I have a brilliant new hoard of stash that I am raring to play with and I must admit a lot of it is to do with the oh soooo  useful Big Shot!!!   It really does make your crafting that much more professional looking and has so many more possibilities.

I know I promised to post my Manga which is finished and looking good and I will just as soon as I find my camera.   In the mean time I am playing with my new glitter, ribbon, dies and embossing tools, so watch this space.

Thanks for reading x x x

Another Shameless Case

This fabulous card idea is shamelessly cased from Andrea Walford.   As my mojo has taken a hit lately I decided to just find what was beautiful out there and adapt it to my liking, although apart from the different ribbon (I didn't have early espresso satin ribbon - I will soon though), it is exactly as she made.

Hope you like it and THANK YOU to everyone who visited my blog on the blog hop, commented or signed up as a follower, I really appreciate it.

Love these new patterned papers in our fantastic new mini catalogue. Wanted a log cabin effect like a quilt but deffinately need to work on it a bit.   I think it is fantastic how everything co-ordinates and the papers look so much like fabric.   There really is a homely, comforting feel to this range.  Again I used the Springtime Vintage DSP.  Kind suggestions always appreciated. x x x

My day at Jane Packer Flower School

I had a brilliant time doing the one day Contemporary Flower course. We did three different arrangements and used over £150 of flowers. I found it hard at first but once I relaxed it was really nice to be creative in a completely different way.

The purple hand tied bouquet was a real strain on the hands but looked so impressive when finished. It even made it home on the train!

Here we are hard at it.

Front of house

Bento Box

Another project from Saturday

This is very contemporary but I learned such a lot about flower preparation and care and how much has changed since I last did this. I will never be happy cuttingnoff the headsbofborchids though. Thisnone weights a ton and DH carried it home for me thank goodness.

Baking today.

Here are my first attempts at whoopie pies. Off to try them x

My first arrangement.

Flower Challenge

Love these colours so wanted to show them to you to challenge you to make something using them.

Today I am in London at the Jane Packer School of floristry so this picture is quite apt. Will show you my version next week.

Sorry For Lazyness

FREE STAMP FOR THE FIRST PERSON WHO CAN TELL ME HOW I DID THE WAVY BIT AT THE TOP!

Seems it is a while since I posted a project. Half term meant no time to play in my craft room. Hope this little gift bag makes up for it. Instructions available just e-mail me. Xxx

Had a great, (if wet!) weekend in Wales visiting family and friends.  So nice to see everybody.   Actually managed to get a chance to do everything we set out to do including DH seeing his beloved Leeds play Swansea, see the sea and catch up with everyone, we even managed an evening out without the boys - wow!

Managed to do a load of jobs around the house yesterday too and stuff like finish the homework and DH cooked a fab meal for us Saturday and Sunday night which I was really grateful for I can tell you.

Motto for the day - you only live once so try and enjoy Mondays as there is something special in every day and Monday has the most potential... SMILE! (Fed up with people wishing the week away and wishing for Friday, no way to live life that sorry x x)

A hint of spring

Snowdrops were my Gran's favourite flower and I can see why.   They really are the first real glimpse of the spring to come.   Hope they put a smile on your face as they did mine :)

I Am Really Really Pleased With This

It shows you can use traditional three colour distressing techniques with Stampin' Up! Colours.

I used Marina Mist, Pacific Point and Night of Navy.   I will try and work on some other colour combinations later.   I clear embossed the bliss stamp then sponged the colours.   I will try and put a tutorial together over the weekend to show exactly how to build up the colour.   If you are coming on Saturday I will be showing you then (with luscious reds).   I then used the Life is Beautiful stamp but the bliss stamp looks great too.

I then went mad and made a rosette at the bottom.

I am really really pleased with the way this turned out and I really enjoyed doing it, my creative vibe was definitely there -  the design above is 90% mine but I do have to acknowledge an influence from Kimberley Van Diepen for the idea which kick started it in the first place.  (see Stampin By The Sea blog).   Love Kimberley she is such a sweetie.

Have fun.

Here's a close-up.

WE HAVE A WINNER

Sarah G has won the prize for guessing the two DSPs in the love cards below.   She gets a free Sale-a-bration stamp set - Well done Sarah.

If you are wondering what they were they were:

The tiny Real Red Hearts were from Play Date DSP 117168 and the Bashful Blue paper was from the Soft Subtles DSP stack 117152 (brilliant I use this LOADS and great if you are a beginner).

The flower was made using Boho Blossoms punch flowers  119858 and a paper daisies 119243.  The daisy was stamped with bashful blue using .......... (and Sarah even got this bit) ....... the flowery heart  from Simply Said 106598 inked in bashful blue as an overlapping background.

Enjoy the stamps Sarah and everyone else, look out for my next competition.

Have a great Sunday.

SAB Card

These Sale-a-bration sets are so cute I just wanted a card that showed off how easy they are to use.  Here I used perfect plum and certainly celery as my colours, with the background inked accordingly with some melon mambo, tangerine tango and daffodil delight - don't you love the names of all the colours?

The stamp sets I used are:  For the background SWEET SUMMER SAB FREE SET, I stamped a whole A4 sheet of Whisper White with the different stamps and colours so that I have more to use again (to be seen here at a later date).   For the accent I used PUNCH BUNCH SAB FREE SET.

As you can see it is easy to get a quick card to send without taking hours to make it.

Hope you like
