WE HAVE A WINNER

Sarah G has won the prize for guessing the two DSPs in the love cards below.   She gets a free Sale-a-bration stamp set - Well done Sarah.

If you are wondering what they were they were:

The tiny Real Red Hearts were from Play Date DSP 117168 and the Bashful Blue paper was from the Soft Subtles DSP stack 117152 (brilliant I use this LOADS and great if you are a beginner).

The flower was made using Boho Blossoms punch flowers  119858 and a paper daisies 119243.  The daisy was stamped with bashful blue using .......... (and Sarah even got this bit) ....... the flowery heart  from Simply Said 106598 inked in bashful blue as an overlapping background.

Enjoy the stamps Sarah and everyone else, look out for my next competition.

Have a great Sunday.

SAB Card

These Sale-a-bration sets are so cute I just wanted a card that showed off how easy they are to use.  Here I used perfect plum and certainly celery as my colours, with the background inked accordingly with some melon mambo, tangerine tango and daffodil delight - don't you love the names of all the colours?

The stamp sets I used are:  For the background SWEET SUMMER SAB FREE SET, I stamped a whole A4 sheet of Whisper White with the different stamps and colours so that I have more to use again (to be seen here at a later date).   For the accent I used PUNCH BUNCH SAB FREE SET.

As you can see it is easy to get a quick card to send without taking hours to make it.

Hope you like

Love (for cards) is in the air!

Here is another card using the mystery supplies. As I still haven't had any (correct) guesses for the DSP you are still in with a chance. Just e-mail me when you know. You will get a freebie from me and an honourable mention here (if you want one).

On another note I am so happy. My youngest (8)is still not quite up to school but needed to get out of the house so here we are, sitting in Starbucks I am typing this and he is writing a fantastic story on the laptop - yes he is deffinately MY boy :)

It is moments like these we should all treasure and remember and, yes, I will scrapbook it of course.

Have a good day and PLEASE someone get this right and to H, sorry no clues LOL. X

Very quick card

You know when you put it off until the last minute then realise that you need that card NOW! I have some ready but this one is for a young college lady so could not be fuddy duddy or twee. I am hoping she likes this. It took ten minutes while being whined at by the boys as we were just going out.

It is simply Baja breeze card with elegant soiree DSP 117163 (omg I LOVE it sooooo) and a stamp from perfect punches 120516 punch 119856. With that some ribbon and a button and voila a card made with lots of love very quickly.

X have a good day.

Background stamping

The project below was started off with soft suede background stamping as above.   Always remember that almost any stamp can be used to create a patterned background (see also the Sweet Summer card below).   This means you can colour co-ordinate easily but also add another dimension to your background cardstock.   So your challenge this week is to make a card using stamps to make a background.   The fantastic thing about Stampin' Up! colours is that you can use the same colour as the cardstock to produce a subtle background effect.

Have a great day.

A Bit Of Distressing.

Sorry this is not a very good photo and the colours do not look as good in it but you get the idea.   I used the Bliss free stamp set and crumb cake and very vanilla cardstock.   The inks are soft suede, early espresso and marina mist.   Wanted to show you how you can get such a great distressed look with this set.

Here at last

Sorry I have been so busy with orders and getting the house straight after Christmas this is my first chance to show you something from the Sale a bration collection.   I am so impressed with these.  You get 9 stamps in all and they are so versatile too.   They make great backgrounds, accents and elements, you really are spoilt for choice.   The Happy Birthday is from the Party This Way set and the colours I used are certainly celery, melon mambo and marina mist.  Hope you like x

By the way, if you are local to me and are interested in joining in a virtual workshop with the biggest spender earning the hostess gift and a free prize draw for somebody else please contact me.  If you order over £45 you earn one of these amazing free Sale-A-Bration sets and free postage and packing if you pick it up, plus the chance of a prize.

If you are into the vintage look try this :

Ok I admit it, these are my favourites.   I already posted my case of the card in the picture.    These types of images really do go such a long way and are so versatile, not to mention being "on trend" to quote Ugly Betty (I will so miss that show btw)

Then we have -

These are so cute, and sooooo useful, I cannot wait to earn my set, the words work so well and the cute little images have so many possibilities.

Then for those of you who love fresh floral designs check these babies out -

I really love that cut little bee and the tiny butterfly, pretty on a stick.

And last but by no means least .....DRUMROLL ...

Are you addicted to punches, do you just love love love the way they co-ordinate with stamps in Stampin' Up! - it is deffinately one of my favourite things about these products well may I introduce you to the PUNCH BUNCH -

These sets are not for sale, you can only earn them for free either with your next order (see dates above) over £45 or if you hold a qualifying workshop (NEVER had a workshop that didn't), or by signing up as a new demonstrator which is yet another reason to take the plunge.

For more information click on the link in the picture at the top of the page.

PHEW...

I am off to make my qualifying orders and to play with the sets I have - have a relaxing Holiday Weekend and once again HAPPY NEW YEAR X
