Chocolate Again

Here is the cake I made for the birthday boy. Devil's Food Cake. Yum.

Party Bag

I made a few of these today. It's my youngest's birthday party tomorrow so I made these bags to fit the gifts inside. Hope they like them. (probably far more interested in the contents I am sure.

I used 12x12 designer paper If you want the pattern e-mail me or ask in comments. They are really easy to do and much cheaper than buying them.

Have a great day.

Getting There

So I am finally getting myself sorted and have a little time to catch up. On our journey back from Quebec the most amazing thing happened. My DREAM came true and we were upgraded to FIRST CLASS.

This is the last time we will be crossing the Atlantic for a while now (we go to Canada 3times a year normally). It couldn't have happened at a better time.

Every time we check in I ask to be upgraded but no joy. This was a late flight leaving Montreal at 10pm (4am UK time).

We got called to the gate and my eldest yells for all to hear "we're upgrading". I was embarrassed and elated at the same time.

I will tell you tomorrow the story of how come we got it and what it was like. I can now cross off an entry on my bucket list :)

Am making something to show you hopefully later too so stay tuned x x x

Two step card

Here is a card made with greenhouse garden stamps. The background is kraft cardstock with soft suede and chocolate chip inks. The centre us stamped in bashful blue, pretty in pink and so saffron inks with black ataxic centres. Finished off with so saffron ribbon and cardstock and a pinch of very vanilla with an edge punch. Hope you like. Comments please if you have time x :)

New Card

Here is a lovely card which is quick and easy to make. It uses the Circle of Friendship 107137 stamp set and the scallop and 1 1/4 " punches. The colours are chocolate chip , old olive and bashful blue.

Here it is in close up

Here you can see I used Old Olive ink to stamp the sentiment, then punched out the card circle.  The flower is made using the scallop punch and then, using the paper piercing tool pierced each petal.

Hope you like it x

How do I use a two-step stamp set?

I just got asked this question and as these are on offer I decided to try and show you how.  My video is not working at the moment so I did the next best thing.
Here is a video of the stamp-a-ma-jig in action. It really is much more simple than it looks and the effects are brilliant.
How to Use a Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Love this dog.

I think this breed is a strong contender for our puppy but in black or chocolate.  Oops there's that word again sorry LOL

Another apology, I wish I could post some cards for you but that is not possible right now.  Believe me I will be making up for it soon.

I am working on some kits for us though.... watch this space.

While I Remember

The Mini Catalogue finishes on 30 September.  As September is such an exciting time for us in Stampin' UP! I would not like to neglect to tell you this.   Basically, we do not know right now what items from the mini catalogue will be carried over into the new catalogue on October 1st and which ones will be dropped for good so if you like any of them bear that in mind.

See side below

Have a great weekend.

More Chocolate.

Still No Excuses other than this is my son's chocolate brownie on a stick - way better than the toffee apples.

Time is Running Out

THIS AMAzING OFFER ENDS IN JUST 11 DAYS!

Please don't miss out, two step stamping is great fun and gives so many more possibilities.   Don't forget I will be giving a class on two-step stamping in September but the offer is on now so what are you waiting for!

I recently got Greenhouse Garden and while it doesn't look much I have created some amasing colour combinations with it.   It can look traditional or contemporary and has a good range of flower sizes so if you are starting out it is a good set to have!  This is a great value set and if you are only getting one I would go for this one.  Now £18:36

Loads of Love is a card for all occasions as I said before as it covers Christmas, Birthdays, Get Well etc... Now £15:16

Bird on A Branch, as I said I will be doing a demo on this one  Now .£11.96

Trendy Trees are great fun and can be used for kids and adults alike.  They also have co-ordinating rollers to match as does Loads of Love.  You can see this in the photo above.  Now £10:36.

Big Bold Birthday is just that and you can make lots of combinations of goodies and embellishments with this one.  Now £19:10

From the Mini Catalogue we have :

Something Sweet is featured on the main promo photo above left, the great treat cups work so well with this and is a great one for extending your talents if you have been stamping a while now.  Now £19:16

Finally Tiny Tags, cannot start to say how lush they are, you need the punch too to give it the real effect but they produce the cutest little embellishments to add some texture and meaning to any project.   Now £15:16.

So here are the prices and I will try later to find some cool images of these stamps and projects using them if I have time so keep looking at this post x

To order e-mail me at :  ritaseed@googlemail.com

No Excuse Just Chocolate

Had this earlier. It tastes even better than it looks and the base is like the crispy bit around Ferrero Rocher. As I said no excuses :). The bad news is that was the last one they had so couldn't bring one home.

Here's the inside.

I just punched the pattern in the front of the card and punched three colours of cardstock with the same punch. I then mixed up the colours and lined him up with the holes. With some co-ordinating strips of card to bring the colour out the card was finished with a stamp top left.
Hope you like.

Good Morning

Hi all, Monday again!

Luckily I have good news!

We will be having the list of retiring SU images on 1st of September ..  I was caught out last year, not realising that when they say retiring they mean retiring so if you love something on the list for goodness sake get it as when it is gone it is gone.    They sell while stocks last and while the list is up which is September only.   I will put the list on this blog as soon as it comes out and then we can all decide what we cannot live without.   There was a great set last year that I didn't get and I have regretted it ever since.   Won't make that mistake again.

Speaking of offers don't forget the two step stamps only have 20% off until 31 August so you have to decide pretty soon if you want me to order them for you.   I have only heard from two of you so far so think fast.

It's pouring down here so the kids are keeping busy with their limited time on DS TV etc... I have to get them to decide when to use up their time and to realise that they have to go outside when it is dry and save electric time as we call it for when in tis pouring down.

We went to the beach on Saturday and had a great time, I actually have a tan!!!! Unheard of but as we went with friends we stayed all day and the boys had great fun on different pieces of equipment - the water bikes and the igloo were the most popular.

The Weekend

ok, just because you last saw me with a margharita does not mean that I was suffering with a little headache the rest of the weekend.   It is just that I have been hanging out with the family while we are all available.   I think in general weekends will not be great for posting.

I will be setting up some events next month if anyone is interested but as nobody is commenting at the moment I am not sure if I should do it here or by e-mail.   If anyone is reading let me know????

Thanks

New Card

Just a quickie as no time for anything too involved right now :)

My lush new stamp

Here is one thing that arrived today :)

More To Life

There is so much more to life than stamping don't you think.  It seems silly to me to have a blog that only talks about this one subject - that is not all I am and anybody reading this probably has other similar interests to me too.

Below I added a list of books that I am reading at the moment - I never have just one on the go but tend to switch.  One upstairs, one down and a couple on my phone.   I would love to share interests with my readers, books, tv, film, stamping of course, etc...  I hope you have a comment.

Still waiting for that parcel so. . . . .  . . . . . . hmmmm

Parcel

Waiting for an SU delivery today. Hopefully it will arrive in time to show you what I got.

Where Does Time Go

Well it seems that the Summer is really hurtling past.   I have a rather special UPS delivery coming this week and hope to be able to show it to you when it gets here - in the mean time I am still not able to do any stamping right now.  Getting very itchy fingers I can tell you.   Why not let me know how you are getting on.

Buying Stampin' Up Online???

This is a question I get asked a lot.  It is not really possible to purchase Stampin' Up! products on line in the  normal sense in the UK at the moment , but if you wish to do it through a demonstrator like myself all you have to do is contact me and I will be happy to help you choose what you want or order for you via the internet.   You can download the Ideas Book and Catalogue from the Stampin' Up website and browse at your leisure.   Once you have decided what you want let me know.   You can also order your hard copy of the Ideas Book and Catalogue with your first order.   All products are sent direct to your door.   Even if you are not local to me that is not a problem as I have customers in lots of places who order from me and even when I am away on holiday I manage to keep up with my ordering and parcel tracking etc.   So if you are interested please contact me via this blog and don't forget the offer below x

Happy Stamping x

Yay, a great offer to help the Summer Time go with a Swing.   Here is a great offer from Stampin' Up that will really give you a chance to be extra creative.   Two step stamps allow you to have so many different looks to one stamp set so let your creativity flow.   My next workshop/class will be using the bird on a branch so if you live in Swindon and want to come to a Stamping Class please contact me via this blog.  Just click on the picture to make it bigger and easier to read.

Little bird

I do love to find new ways with the bird punch. Hope you like this ?

The fastest card Ever

The next door Neighbour wanted a gift card pronto so I obliged. 10 minutes later I had produced this. Not too bad under pressure :)

Hello There

Here is my first post - probably the only one that will be short.  I am doing this as a challenge to myself to see if I can create a beautiful blog so it will be a work in progress I am sure.
